Emily Nunnally, Katie Crawford, Jen Pharr and Bethany Benson each won two matches to lead Samford's women's tennis to a 7-0 victory Wednesday in the team's final tune-up before the Ohio Valley Conference championships this weekend in Nashville, Tenn.
Samford improved its record to 14-7 overall. The Bulldogs finished 7-2 in conference play, earning the third seed in the OVC tournament. Jacksonville State is the first round opponent. Samford defeated JSU, 6-1, in Jacksonville, Ala., on March 17.
If Samford advances, it will meet the winner of Tennessee Tech/Eastern Illinois in the second round.
