BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford baseball team will play host to the Alabama-Huntsville Chargers Wednesday evening at Joe Lee Griffin Field.

Samford enters the game with a record of 4-20 overall and 0-6 in the OVC after being swept in a three-game series by Austin Peay over the weekend. UAH currently has a record of 26-9 overall and 6-3 in the Gulf South Conference. The Chargers swept Lincoln-Memorial last weekend.

Samford is led statistically by Matt Alling, batting .416 (37-for-89) for the season. Alling's 37 hits and 29 RBI lead the team as well. He is second on the team in doubles (6) and is tied for the team lead in home runs with two.

The first pitch for the game is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. at Joe Lee Griffin Field.
