HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Samford women's golf team finished 12th at the Southern Miss Lady Eagle Invitational at the Shadow Ridge Golf Club in Hattiesburg, Miss. Jaime Hampton led the Bulldogs finishing tied for 37th, following a third round 78.

"I am really pleased with the way that Jaime Hampton played," Head coach Ian Thompson. "We have some work to do before the OVC Championships in a few weeks."

Kelly Stout finished tied for 48th (85-82-83-250), Tricia Harlow finished 50th (83-84-85-252), Kelly Villarreal finished tied for 66th (82-86-92-260) and Ashleigh Hicks finished tied for 79th (94-86-88-268).

College of Charleston won the event shooting a 910, followed by, Campbell (924), Southern Mississippi (928), Georgia State (929), Birmingham-Southern (932), Middle Tennessee (935), UAB (967), Memphis (978), Nicholls State (984), Tennessee Tech (995), Troy State (995), Samford (1001), South Alabama (1001), Lipscomb (1020), Cincinnati (1021), Jackson State (1028), Mobile (1073) and Centenary (1250).

The Bulldogs are off until the OVC Championships on April 26-28 in Paducah, Ky.
