Football Holds Final Full Practice For SEMO

Sept. 23, 2004

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford University football team held its final full practice before Saturday's game at Southeast Missouri Thursday afternoon at the practice fields on the Samford campus.

"We feel good about the plan we have and about the way the kids have worked," Samford head coach Bill Gray said. "All that is left is to go up there and not let the trip and playing a conference road game affect us, but to improve on the things that will make us better as a team. I am anxious to see us play after a two-week layoff."

The Bulldogs will leave for Cape Girardeau, Mo., Friday morning at 7:30 a.m. The team will hold its final walk-through for the game Friday evening at 5:30 p.m.

Saturday's game at Southeast Missouri is scheduled to kickoff at 6 p.m. The game can be heard live in the Birmingham area on WVSU-FM 91.1, or worldwide on the internet at www.samfordsports.com.
