BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford University women's basketball team will play host to the Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks Saturday afternoon at Seibert Hall.

Samford enters the game with a record of 9-5 overall and 2-1 in the OVC. The Bulldogs are coming off a 71-59 win over Murray State on Thursday. Tennessee-Martin is currently 2-12 overall and 1-2 in conference play. The Skyhawks are coming off a 70-59 loss at Jacksonville State on Thursday.

Samford and Tennessee-Martin will be meeting for the sixth time, with the Skyhawks holding a 4-1 advantage. Last season, Samford lost at UT Martin by a score of 54-52. Samford's lone win in the series came on Dec. 30, 1999, when the Bulldogs defeated the Skyhawks, 77-68.

The game is scheduled to tip-off at 4:00 p.m. in Seibert Hall, and will follow the men's game against Tennessee-Martin scheduled for 2:00 p.m. The game can be heard locally on WVSU-FM 91.1, or worldwide on the internet at www.samfordsports.com.
