BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- The Samford University women's golf team prepares for its final tournament of the fall season this week. The Bulldogs will head to Troy, Ala., for the Troy University Women's Invitational on Monday and Tuesday.

The Bulldogs will compete in the two-day, 36-hole tournament on Monday and Tuesday. The tournament marks their final tune up of the fall, as they begin preparations for the spring season.

Samford has been led this season by freshman Maria Troche, who has been a consistently solid performer this fall. Last week the Bulldogs competed in the Austin Peay Fall Intercollegiate, where they placed eighth. Kelly Stout placed 11th in the tournament, and Troche finished 22nd overall.

The Troy University Women's Invitational begins Monday, Oct. 31.
