BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford University softball team will be hosting a one-day clinic featuring U.S. National Team Coach Michael Bastian on Saturday, Nov. 5, beginning at 9 a.m., at Bulldog Field.

Bastian is the former head coach of the Akron Racers in the Women's Professional Softball League and is a member of the U.S. National Team Coaching Pool. He is also a lead consultant to the Chinese National Team.

Coach Bastian will be leading both the hitting and pitching clinics on Saturday. The hitting clinic will begin at 9 a.m. and will conclude at noon. The pitching clinic will take place from 2-5 p.m.

The cost of the instructional clinic, which was originally scheduled to take place in Chattanooga, Tenn., is $90.00 per session.
