BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -
The Samford Department of Athletics announced Wednesday the broadcast schedule for the upcoming men's and women's basketball season. Of the 55 scheduled regular season games between the two teams, 53 are scheduled to be broadcast on either the radio, Internet, or both.
Twenty-seven of the 28 scheduled men's basketball games will be available on the radio in Birmingham on 91.1 WVSU-FM. Also, any game that is heard on the radio, whether men's or women's, can be heard for free on the Internet streaming site of WVSU: www.al.com/wvsu. The December 29 home contest against Campbellsville will be the only game that will not be available on the radio; it will be an Internet-only broadcast available on SamfordSports.com through the CSTV All-Access Pass subscription service. The other 27 games will also be available through the All-Access Pass.
A school-record 25 women's games will be broadcast this season, including a school-record 20 that can be heard on the radio. The other five game broadcasts (Jan. 2 at Tennessee Tech, Jan. 12 vs. Tennessee State, Jan. 26 vs. UT Martin, Jan. 30 @ Murray State, and Feb. 16 vs. Morehead State) will be available only on the All-Access Pass.
