The Carolina Panthers have signed former Samford wide receiver Efrem Hill off of the practice squad, the team announced Tuesday.
Hill, who is Samford's all-time leader in receptions (214), receiving yards (3,054) and touchdown receptions (31), had spent the entire year on Carolina's practice squad. During the preseason, he caught two passes for 28 yards and one touchdown. He also averaged 11.1 yards on nine punt returns in addition to returning one kickoff for 20 yards.
Hill and the Panthers play host to Dallas on Saturday, Dec. 24 at 1:00 p.m. Eastern.
