BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford women's basketball team will continue its home stand when it takes on the Eastern Kentucky Lady Colonels on Thursday at Seibert Hall.

Samford enters the game with a record of 11-10 overall and 4-6 in the Ohio Valley Conference. The Bulldogs are coming off a 59-52 win over Austin Peay on Saturday. Eastern Kentucky is currently 14-7 overall and 9-1 in league play after a 60-58 win at Tennessee State last Thursday.

Samford and Eastern Kentucky will be meeting for the fifth time, with EKU holding a 4-0 advantage. Earlier this season, the Lady Colonels defeated Samford, 61-55, in Richmond, Ky. on January 22.

Samford has three players averaging double figures in points during the conference season. Veronica Pike is averaging a team-high 11.6 points per game in Ohio Valley Conference play. Cora Beth Smith is scoring 11.2 points per conference game, and Sarah Clement is averaging 10.9 points per game in the OVC. Clement is the team's leading rebounder in conference play, pulling down 6.6 rebounds per league contest.
