TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Samford University men's tennis team (11-6, 5-0 OVC) fell, 6-1 in a non-conference match to Florida A&M today (March 24) at the FAMU Tennis Courts, located on the campus of Florida A&M.
The Bulldogs dominated in doubles by taking all three games and gaining the doubles point with Manuel Miletic / Renan Silveira at No. 1 (8-5), Stuart Misner / Hank Grant at No. 2 (8-6) and James Bryce / Johnny Griffee at No. 3 (8-3).
FAMU came back strong in singles by winning at all six courts. Griffee and Grant both went into three sets, battling for a singles point. Griffee lost to FAMU's Mailvert (4-6, 7-5, 6-2), while Grant fell to FAMU's Willams (6-7, 7-5, 6-3).
