Women's Basketball Game Notes In PDF Format

The Samford women's basketball team will play at Ohio Valley Conference rival Murray State Sunday afternoon at the Regional Special Events Center in Murray, Ky.
Samford enters the game with a record of 6-3 overall and 1-0 in the OVC after a 54-51 win at Troy Dec. 9. Murray State is currently 5-3 overall and 2-0 in conference play after a 76-54 win at Morehead State Dec. 9.
Samford and Murray State are meeting for the fifth time, with the series tied at 2-2. Last season, the teams split the season series with each team winning at home. Samford defeated the Lady Racers, 83-67, at Seibert Hall, while Murray State downed the Bulldogs, 67-66 in overtime, in Murray, Ky.
Samford is led in scoring by Alex Munday, averaging 12.7 points per game. Munday also leads the team in rebounding, pulling down 4.4 boards per contest. Chelsee Insell leads the team in assists, dishing out 1.9 assists per game.
