BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -
The Samford football team practiced for about an hour in shorts and helmets Thursday afternoon at Seibert Stadium. The workout was the final full practice for the Bulldogs in preparation for Saturday's Homecoming game against Austin Peay.
The Bulldogs moved practice up to 3 p.m. from the normal 4 p.m. start time due to forecasted inclement weather. The team moved its daily meetings to after practice.
Head Coach Pat Sullivan said he has been pleased with the way his team has practiced this week.
"We've had a good week of practice," Sullivan said. "Now, it's time to play. The hay is in the barn, and there is not much else we can do, it is just time for them to play."
Samford will hold a final walk-through for Saturday's game Friday afternoon at Seibert Stadium.
Saturday's game against Austin Peay is scheduled for a 2 p.m. kickoff from Seibert Stadium. The game can be heard live on the Samford Radio Network. The flagship station for the network is WVSU-FM 91.1.
The game can also be heard worldwide on the internet at www.al.com/wvsu, and it can be viewed on the internet at www.ovcsports.tv.
