Women's Basketball Game Notes In PDF Format

The Samford women's basketball team will play at Morehead State in a key Ohio Valley Conference contest Thursday evening.
With four games remaining in the season, Samford is currently fourth in the conference standings with a 9-7 conference record, while Morehead State stands in third at 11-5. The first round of the conference tournament is scheduled for Feb. 27 with the top eight teams competing. The first round games are at campus sites with the top four teams hosting. The semifinals and finals are scheduled for Mar. 2-3 in Nashville, Tenn.
Samford and Morehead State are meeting for the 10th time, with Samford holding a 5-4 advantage in the series. Earlier this season, Morehead State defeated Samford, 60-57, in Seibert Hall.
Samford is led in scoring by Alex Munday, averaging 13.9 points per game. Veronica Pike is the team-leader in rebounding, pulling down 5.4 rebounds per game. Taryn Towns leads the team in assists, dishing out 2.7 assists per contest.
