BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- The Samford men's tennis team dropped their final home match Friday to Ohio Valley Conference leader Tennessee Tech, 5-2. The Bulldogs fall to 11-7, 6-2 in the OVC.

The Bulldogs came out blazing and swept the doubles point from the Golden Eagles, but could not get things going in the singles matches.

Sam Huffman won the only singles match for the Bulldogs. Huffman defeated Tennessee Tech's No. 3 player, 6-4, 6-0.

The Samford men will be back in action next Wednesday as the take the University of Alabama out of the SEC. Match play begins at 1 p.m. at the Varsity Courts on the University of Alabama campus.
