BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- The Samford University softball team will offer two hitting clinics on Jan. 10. The clinics will be offer to two different age groups but will cover the same specialized topics on hitting techniques.

On the morning of Jan. 10, Samford will offer a two-hour clinic, starting at 10 a.m., for participants in grades six through nine. Pre-registration starts Dec. 1 and the cost at pre-registration is $40. Walk-up registration will be available the day of the clinic at 9:30 a.m., while the cost at that time will be $50.

That same afternoon, starting at 3 p.m., will be two-hour clinic for participants in grades nine through 12. Pre-registration begins on Dec. 1 and the cost will be $40. Walk-up registration will also be available the day of the clinic at the cost of $50.

Clinic participants will learn innovative and specialized vision training for hitting. They will also be able instructed on how to develop explosive power for hitting, increase batting average and improve their mental game for hitting.
