BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- The Samford men's tennis team earned its seventh consecutive Ohio Valley Conference win Friday afternoon in a home match against Eastern Kentucky. The Bulldogs remain undefeated in conference play.

The men began things Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Pat M. Courington Tennis Pavilion. The Bulldogs (12-7, 7-0 OVC) took the doubles point, winning matches at the No. 1 and No. 3 court, while Jordan Delass and Richard Walsh's match at the No. 2 court was retired as the Bulldog duo had the 1-0 advantage.

The Bulldog men then took four of six singles matches, starting with Renan Silveira winning, 6-2, 6-1, at the No. 2 court. Brian Dushock then added another point to the team score with a victory at the No. 3 position in three sets (4-6, 6-3, 6-2). Hank Grant and Oliver Reynolds sealed up the match win for Samford with victories at the No. 5 and No. 6 courts, respectively.

Both the Bulldog men's and women's teams will host Morehead State Saturday in the final home match for Samford this season. Seven seniors will be honored between the two teams before the matches begin - Anna Jackson and Katie Weaver for the women and for the men, Jordan Delass, Hank Grant, Sam Huffman, Sam Rocke and Renan Silveira.
