BIRMINGHAM, Ala. --- Junior Bulldog runner Hillary Neal has been selected as the Southern Conference Women's Runner of the Week for the second week in a row, announced the league office Wednesday. Neal, who earned the honor last week for her performance in the Southeast Showdown, has been honored this week for her performance at the Coach "O" Invitational Saturday.

The native of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., won the Coach "O" Invitational Saturday in Troy, Ala. Her time of 10:57 on the two-mile course set a new course record. Neal helped lead the Bulldogs to the women's team title defeating second place South Alabama by 34 points.

Neal and the Bulldogs have a little less than two weeks to prepare for the Southern Conference Cross Country Championships that will be held on Oct. 31 in Elon, N.C.
