BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -
The Samford baseball program held its inaugural Alumni Game Saturday morning at Joe Lee Griffin Field.
Players from several different eras of Samford baseball participated in the event. Highlights of the game included home runs from Ric Callahan (1983-84) and Parker Gargis (2004-07).
Overall in the game, 10 different pitchers from several eras saw time on the mound. The Red team defeated the Blue team by a score of 7-1.
Following the Alumni Game, over 50 former players tailgated with the S-Club and then attended Saturday's Southern Conference football game between Samford and Western Carolina.
All proceeds from the event went to the S-Club. For more information on the S-Club, contact Garrett Rice at gjrice@samford.edu.
