BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Season tickets for Samford's 2009 football season are now on sale. The price of season tickets is $60 for adults and $25 for children ages three through 12.

Samford's home-opener for the 2009 season is scheduled for Sept. 12 against Jacksonville University at 6 p.m. The Bulldogs play host to cross-town rival Miles College on Sept. 19 at 2 p.m.

Samford's Family Weekend will be Oct. 10 against Southern Conference foe Chattanooga at 2 p.m., and the Bulldogs' Homecoming game will be Nov. 7 against league rival Georgia Southern at 2:30 p.m.

Samford also plays host to SoCon teams Western Carolina (Oct. 3 at 2 p.m.) and Elon (Nov. 21 at 2 p.m.).

A mini-plan is also available, which includes tickets to three games, excluding Homecoming. The mini-plan costs $35 for adults and $10 for children.

Samford is coming off its first winning season since 2003, going 6-5 overall and 4-4 in its first season as a member of the Southern Conference. The Bulldogs return eight starters on offense and six on defense, and they look to build on the success of the 2008 season.
