BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -
The Samford women's basketball program will hold its annual Alumni Reunion on Saturday, Nov. 6, as part of the school's Homecoming activities.
The event will begin with the current team's Ninth-Annual Red-Blue Scrimmage from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. in the Pete Hanna Center. Following the scrimmage will be the Second-Annual Alumni Game from 11:15 a.m. to 12 p.m. The event is open to the public and admission is free.
"We are really looking forward to a great turn out in our Alumni Game during Homecoming weekend," Samford head coach Mike Morris said. "Last year's Alumni Game was a huge success with about 15 ex-players returning and we are expecting even more alumni this year.
"The commitment and sacrifice that all the ex-players gave to Samford women's basketball is one of the main reasons for our recent success as a program and I am truly grateful to each player," Morris said. "We would like to invite everyone to the Pete Hanna Center to see Samford women's basketball the old and the new!"
The Red-Blue Scrimmage and the Alumni Game are being held as part of Samford's Homecoming festivities. The football team's Homecoming game against Wofford is scheduled for a 2 p.m. start from Seibert Stadium.
