Jim Griffin Cornhole Tournament Photo Gallery

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. --- The Samford University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee held a cornhole tournament Saturday, March 27, to raise money for the Jim Griffin Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Cornhole was one of Griffin's favorite activities and he was known for winning such tournaments. Student-athletes thought this would be a perfect was to honor Griffin's memory and raise money for the scholarship fund in his name.

SAAC raised nearly $300 for the fund with the event that was open to the public in the bottom parking lot of the Pete Hanna Center on Saturday.

Students, fans, faculty and staff participated with two former baseball players winning the tournament. John Morgan and PJ Fandetti defeated Sam Dickerson and Owen Anderson from Sigma Chi in the championship round.
