BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford women's basketball team will travel to Greenville, S.C., to take on the Furman Paladins in a Southern Conference game Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. (CST).

Samford and Furman will be meeting for the sixth time, with Samford holding a 4-1 advantage in the series. Earlier this season, the teams met on Jan. 6 in the Pete Hanna Center, with Samford claiming a 64-58 victory over the Paladins.

Samford enters the game with a record of 17-6 overall and 10-4 in SoCon play. The Bulldogs are coming off a 60-53 win at Chattanooga on Wednesday.

Samford is led in scoring by senior guard Emily London, averaging 15.5 points per game. London currently leads the nation in free-throw percentage, making 97.3 percent of her attempts this season. London enters Saturday's game with 1,582 career points, just 21 points away from tying Alex Munday's career record of 1,603 points.

Senior forward Savannah Hill ranks second on the team in scoring with an average of 12.2 points per game. Hill leads the squad in rebounding (6.1 rpg.) and assists (4.1 apg.).

Juniors Paige Anderson (7.5 ppg.) and Ruth Ketcham (7.2 ppg.) rank third and fourth on the team in scoring. Sophomore Hannah Dawson ranks fifth on the squad with an average of 7.1 points per game.

Furman is currently 9-12 overall and 5-7 in league play. The Paladins last played on Monday, defeating UNC Greensboro, 67-52.

Furman is led in scoring by Kelly O'Connor, averaging 12.8 points per game. Kaitlin Murphy is scoring 12.4 points per game, while Kendra Berry is averaging 10.0 points per game.

Berry leads the Paladins in rebounding, pulling down 7.7 boards per contest. Lakyn Ledford is averaging 5.7 rebounds per game. Furman's leader in assists is Murphy, dishing out 4.0 assists per game. Berry is averaging 1.5 assists per game.
