Greater Louisville Classic Notes 
GREATER LOUISVILLE CLASSIC
This weekend, Samford resumes competition heading up to Louisville, Ky., for the Greater Louisville Classic on Saturday, Oct. 1. Three groups of men's teams will run three different 8K races and three women's groups will run three 5K races. Samford will be competing in the women's gold race at 10:15 a.m. and the men's blue race at 10:45 a.m.
LAST TIME OUT: AUBURN INVITATIONAL
D'Alessio won with a mark of 14:32.9, her second event title so far this season. The top five finishers for the women all crossed the line in the top 25, a feat which only Samford and event winner Georgia State accomplished. The next highest finishers for the Bulldogs after D'Alessio were Benson (15:27.1) and Bernard (15:29.8), finishing back-to-back in 14th and 15th, respectively. Lillie Jackson was the fourth Bulldog across the line, finishing 21st (15:41.9) while Alli Keithan was only ten seconds behind (23rd, 15:51.6). The final Bulldogs to finish were Chelsea Treadway (36th, 16:22.7) and Deanna Zidar (39th 16:29.5), putting all Samford's runners well in the top half of the field.
Layton Dorsett was again the Bulldogs' top runner in the men's race, finishing 10th (20:11.4). James Graham finished in the middle of the following pack to cross the line, placing 20th in 20:46.0. Ramsey White was close behind, finishing 22nd (20:50.5). The fourth and final Bulldog was newcomer Nicholas Cork in 39th (21:47.4).

The team resumes competition in two weeks, heading to Tuscaloosa, Ala., for the Alabama Crimson Classic on Saturday, Oct. 15.
