The Samford Sports Network is proud to announce that its' new weekly radio show is making the switch to Birmingham's new Sports Radio 97.3 The Zone.
Beginning tonight, Samford Football with Head Coach Pat Sullivan will air from 7-8 p.m. Central Time, live from Applebee's Brookwood Village location in Birmingham. Samford fans can be part of a live audience at Applebee's, or can hear the show on the Birmingham's 97.3 The Zone and around the world on-line at www.973thezone.com.
Each week's show will be hosted by the "Voice of the Bulldogs," Samford Director of Athletics Communications, Mike Grace, and will feature live interviews with Bulldog assistant coaches and other football staff members.
"What an incredible opportunity for the Samford Sports Network to join the likes of Eli Gold, Stan White, Tim Brando, Matt Coulter and the rest of The Zone's all-star line-up. Birmingham is Coach Sullivan's hometown and it's great to have such an exciting radio partner here in Bulldog Country," Grace said.
Tonight's show will include Samford Running Backs Coach James Joseph and Football Video Coordinator Rocky Sabbatini.
Samford's 2011 campaign continues this Saturday, September 10, as Tuscaloosa's Stillman College Tigers invade Seibert Stadium for a 6 p.m. kickoff.
Bulldog fans can hear all the play-by-play action throughout the season on any of the seven Samford Sports Network radio affiliates across the state of Alabama.
