Former Samford cornerback Corey White has been invited to the NFL's Scouting Combine, to be held in Indianapolis, Ind., Feb. 22-28.
White is currently training at IMG Academies, participating in a six-week NFL Combine Training Program in Bradenton, Fla.
The program is designed to provide the athletes with all the tools they need to succeed at the Combine and beyond. This includes mental and physical conditioning, communications, nutrition and on-field training with Chris Weinke, Loren Seagrave and more.
White will be one of 300 prospects to perform at the Combine, with the defensive backs scheduled to arrive in Indianapolis on Feb. 25, with their workouts scheduled for Feb. 28. The Combine will be broadcast live on the NFL Network and on NFL.com.
For his senior season in 2011, White tied for second in the Southern Conference in interceptions with four. He also ranked fourth on the team in tackles with 58, including 52 solo stops. White had three tackles for a loss and five pass break-ups.
In his Samford career, White tallied seven interceptions and 18 pass break-ups. He finished his career with 140 total tackles, including 118 solo stops.
