TRACK TO CONTINUE OUTDOOR SEASON AT ALABAMA RELAYS
Samford Track will compete in its third meet of the 2013 outdoor season, traveling to Tuscaloosa for the annual Alabama Relays, hosted by the University of Alabama. Events begin on Friday, March 22 and continue through Saturday, March 23.

TEAMS PARTICIPATING
LAST TIME OUT: THREE RECORDS FALL AT SAMFORD MULTI
Last weekend, Samford hosted the first of two outdoor meets this season with the Samford Multi. Three new school records were set with multiple others earning the top spot in their events.
Steven Bastien, competing in the decathlon, set a new school record in the long jump with a leap of 24-1 (7.34m). This beats Brandon Bassett's old record of 22-9 (6.93m), which he would have beaten with his own Friday jump of 23-2.5 (7.07m). Bastien's day-one total through five events of 3,794 as he went on to finish third with 6,823 points.
Emily Allen, competing unattached, set a new school record in the women's hammer throw, winning the event with a throw of 186-3 (56.77m).
NEXT UP: RALEIGH RELAYS
Next weekend, Samford will head to another relay meet, traveling to the campus of NC State in Raleigh, N.C., for the Raleigh Relays. Events begin on Friday, March 29 and continue through Saturday, March 30.
