BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—The Samford football team will return home when the Bulldogs play host to Furman this afternoon at 2 p.m. (CDT) at Seibert Stadium.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN3. The contest can also be heard locally on WVSU-FM 91.1, or worldwide on the internet at
www.samford.edu/wvsu.
Samford enters the game with a record of 3-4 overall and 1-3 in Southern Conference play. The Bulldogs are coming off a 56-36 loss at Western Carolina last week.
Furman is currently 3-4 overall and 1-2 in league play. The Paladins are coming off a 38-17 loss to The Citadel last week.
Samford and Furman will be meeting for the 18th time, with Furman holding a 9-8 advantage in the series. Last season, the teams met in Greenville, S.C., with Samford earning a 45-0 win over Furman. Since joining the Southern Conference in 2008, Samford has a record of 3-4 against Furman.
