Men's Tennis Completes Day 2 Of Samford Fall Invite

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. –
The Samford men's tennis team completed the second day of the Samford Fall Invite Saturday at the Samford University Tennis Center.
 
In doubles, Samford went 1-2, playing against South Alabama in each match. The Bulldogs' lone doubles win came when Max Rebol and Hugo Moreira defeated Lucas Gonzalez and Santiago di Loreto, 7-6.
 
On the singles courts, Samford posted a record of 4-4 against Belmont. Jake Faundez defeated Hendrik Inno, 6-4, 6-4. Eduardo Lourido earned a 6-2, 6-4 win over Jake Briggs. Rebol defeated Zak Khan, 6-1, 6-2, while Aleksandar Petrovic defeated Stephen Goldman, 6-3, 6-4.
 
The tournament will resume with doubles matches beginning at 9 a.m. Sunday. A full recap and results will be posted to www.samfordsports.com following the conclusion of the tournament.
