SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The 14
th-ranked Samford football team will continue Southern Conference play with a game at fifth-ranked Wofford today at 12:30 p.m. (CT) at Wofford's Gibbs Stadium.
Samford enters the game with a record of 4-2 overall and 2-1 in SoCon play so far this season. The Bulldogs took last week off from competition and the team last played on Oct. 7, earning a 26-7 win at VMI.
Wofford is currently 6-0 overall and 4-0 in league games. The Terriers are coming off a 20-16 win at The Citadel last week.
Samford and Wofford are meeting for the 15th time, with Samford holding a 9-5 advantage in the series. The teams last met on Oct. 1, 2016 at Seibert Stadium, with Samford earning a 28-26 victory over the Terriers. In the nine meetings since Samford joined the Southern Conference, Samford has a 5-4 advantage, and the average score has been 24-22, Wofford.
