Samford enters the game with a record of 5-2 overall and 3-1 in SoCon play so far this season. The Bulldogs earned a 24-21 win at then-fifth-ranked Wofford last Saturday. Samford has won its last three games entering Saturday's contest. The Bulldogs have won their last nine-straight home games, dating back to 2015.
Chattanooga is currently 1-7 overall and 1-4 in league games. The Mocs are coming off a 20-14 loss to The Citadel last week.
The Samford Bulldogs and Chattanooga Mocs are meeting for the 43rd time, with the Mocs holding a 29-10-3 advantage in the series. The teams met last season on Sept. 24, with the Mocs coming away with a 41-21 victory at Chattanooga's Finley Stadium. Samford's last win in the series came in 2013, with the Bulldogs earning a 17-14 overtime win at Seibert Stadium.
