AUBURN, Ala. -- The Samford University track and field teams will look to build on their positive momentum in the 2017 outdoor season this weekend as the Bulldogs compete in the Tiger Track Classic being held Friday and Saturday at Hutsell-Rosen Track on the campus of Auburn University.
The 2017 Tiger Track Classic is scheduled to begin Friday at 2 p.m. (CT) with the men's hammer throw. The running events are slated to begin at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday's action will begin at 11 a.m., with the women's pole vault. The running events start at noon with the 4x100-meter relay and conclude at 5:05 p.m., with the men's 3000 meters.
The Tiger Track Classic will feature a large field this weekend. Along with Samford and the homestanding Auburn Tigers, the two-day event will also include UAB, Alabama A&M, Boston University, Cincinnati, Columbus State, Furman, Georgia State, Holy Cross, Indiana State, Northeastern, UNC-Wilmington, South Alabama, SEMO, Troy and Western Carolina.
