SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Holly Horsfall, a sophomore on the Samford women's tennis team was named the Southern Conference's Player of the Week when the league released its weekly tennis awards Tuesday morning.
Horsfall, a transfer from Middle Tennessee, has compiled a combined 6-1 record in both singles and doubles. She is 3-0 in singles with wins over Kennesaw State, Belmont and Alabama-Huntsville. Her match was not finished at Mississippi State, though she had the lead when the match was called.

Elsa Pool, she has posted a record of 3-1. The duo earned wins over Kennesaw State and Belmont, before falling in the match at Mississippi State.
Horsfall and the Bulldogs will host cross-town rival UAB Wednesday afternoon. The match is set to begin at 2 p.m. at the Samford Tennis Center, and admission is FREE.
