STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. – The Samford women's golf team placed ninth at the John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate, hosted by Georgia State University, Sunday through Tuesday at Eagle's Landing Country Club (Par 72, 6,043 yards).

As a team, Samford posted a final three-round score of 937 (315-319-303). Jacksonville University won the event, posting a final score of 882 (299-295-288).

Individually, Madeline Davis led Samford, tying for 14^th in the 89-player field, with a score of 229 (75-77-77). Emily Uhland tied for 24^th with a three-round total of 232 (82-79-71). Hallianne Hobson finished in a tie for 27^th at 233 (76-80-77).

Kate Collom finished in a tie for 75^th firing a three-round score of 249 (88-83-78). Mary Kate Horton tied for 78^th at 251 (82-86-83).

Amanda Detmer and Maria Brunzell, both of Jacksonville, tied for first place in the event. Both finished with a final score of 218.

Samford will return to action April 8-10, when the Bulldogs compete in the Brickyard Collegiate, hosted by Mercer University in Macon, Ga.
