AUBURN, Ala. -- The Samford University track and field teams will look to build on their positive momentum in the 2018 outdoor season this weekend as the Bulldogs are scheduled to compete in the Tiger Track Classic being held Friday and Saturday at Hutsell-Rosen Track on the campus of Auburn University.
 
The 2018 Tiger Track Classic is slated to begin Friday at 11:45 a.m. (CT) with the heptathlon's 100-meter hurdles. The distance running events will begin at 7 p.m., with the women's invitational 1500-meter competition.
 
Saturday's action is scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m., with the decathlon's 110-meter high hurdles. The running events will then begin at noon with the women's 4x100-meter relay and conclude at 5 p.m., with the men's 4x400-meter relay.
 
The Tiger Track Classic will feature a large field this weekend.
 
Along with Samford and the homestanding Auburn Tigers, the two-day event will also include AU-Montgomery, UAB (W), Alabama State, Arkansas State, UA-Huntsville, Boston University, Columbus State, Cornell (M), Florida State, Georgia Southern, Georgia Tech, Georgia State (W), Indiana State, Lamar, Louisiana, New Orleans, South Alabama, Troy, Quinnipiac (W), Western Michigan (W).
