Track & Field Individuals Set For NCAA East Regional

TAMPA, Fla.— Seven members of the Samford men's and women's track and field teams will compete in the NCAA East Regional to be hosted by the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, Thursday through Saturday.
Samford will boast five men and two women in the NCAA preliminary competition. The Bulldogs' Hugh Duggan (Pole vault), Keyth Fightmaster (High jump), Arsène Guillorel (10,000m), Tray Oates (Pole vault) and Emmanuel Tait (100m) will represent the men's side of the roster.
Samford's women's representatives in the NCAA East Regional will be Selena Popp (High jump) and Haley Ward (10,000m).
Duggan and Oates will compete in the first round of men's pole vault Thursday at 8:30 a.m. (CT). Tait will compete in the men's 100 meters first round Thursday at 1:30 p.m. (CT). The men's 10,000 meter run, with Guillorel competing, will hold its semifinals Thursday at 8 p.m. (CT). The men's high jump, with Fightmaster competing, will hold its first round Saturday at 1 p.m. (CT).
Popp will compete in the first round of the women's high jump Thursday at 1 p.m. (CT). The women's 10,000 meter run's semifinal, with Ward competing, is scheduled for Thursday at 8:40 p.m. (CT).
The qualifiers from the two regions will compete in the NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships held June 6-9, in Eugene, Oregon.
