CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Samford soccer team scored six goals, with five coming from freshmen, on its way to a 6-0 win at The Citadel Friday afternoon.
With the win, Samford improves to 7-2-5 overall and 4-0-1 in Southern Conference play. The win extends Samford's unbeaten streak in SoCon regular season games to 30 games, just three contests shy of the league record of 33 set by UNCG from 2006 to 2009. The Citadel falls to 5-5-2 overall and 1-3 in league games.
