NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Samford men's basketball team dropped a 95-63 decision at Belmont Monday night at the Curb Event Center.
 
With the loss, Samford falls to 1-2 on the season. Belmont improves to 1-1 with the win.

• Robert Allen led Samford with 17 points and nine rebounds.
• Jalen Dupree scored 15 points for the Bulldogs.
• Adam Kunkel led Belmont with 28 points.

 
GAME HIGHLIGHTS

• Belmont jumped out to an early 13-6 lead with 16:12 to go in the first half after a three-pointer by Kunkel.
• The Bruins pushed their lead out to 16 points at 34-18 with 6:19 left in the half after another three-pointer by Kunkel.
• Belmont led by as many as 20 points in the first half, and the Bruins took a 49-30 lead into the locker room at halftime.
• In the second half, Belmont pushed its lead to 22 points at 61-39 with 15:08 left after a jumper by Kunkel.
• The Bruins extended their lead to 31 points at 84-53 with 6:16 to go in the game.
• Samford fought back to cut the lead to 25 points twice, but could get no closer and eventually fell, 95-63.
