Soccer Falls At #5 South Carolina In NCAA Tournament

COLUMBIA, S.C. –
The Samford soccer team fell at South Carolina, 3-0, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament Saturday night at Eugene E. Stone III Stadium.
 
The loss ends a tremendous season for the Bulldogs. Samford posted a record of 13-4-5. The team was 7-1-1 in Southern Conference play, winning a share of its sixth-straight SoCon regular-season title. The Bulldogs reached the NCAA Tournament for the fifth time in school history with a 1-0 win over Furman in the SoCon Tournament finals last Sunday. South Carolina improves to 17-1-3 and advances to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
