Women's Golf Places Eighth At GSU Tournament

STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. -- The Samford women's golf team finished eighth in the John Kirk/ Panther Intercollegiate, hosted by Georgia State University, Sunday through Tuesday.
The Bulldogs came in eighth place in a field of 16 teams with a final team score of a 63 over 927 (311-315-301).
Samford's Madeline Davis led the team with a three round total of six-over-par 222 (71-80-71). Davis' final round featured five birdies and a three under 33 on the back nine. Her performance was good enough for fourth place individually for the tournament.
Sophie Membrino also had a good finish for the Bulldogs, as she finished with a three round 11-over-par 227 (77-73-77). That finish was good enough to come in a tie for 14th individually.
