Saturday Softball At Chattanooga Suspended In Sixth

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- The Samford softball team's Saturday night Southern Conference game at Chattanooga has been suspended in the bottom of the sixth inning with the score tied at 3-3. The game will resume Sunday at 12 p.m. (CT) at Frost Stadium.
Following the completion of the game, the teams will then complete the series with a doubleheader.
Samford plated three runs in the top of the first inning, with Hannah Trombley driving in two runs and Kathryn Jackson driving in one. Chattanooga plated two runs in the fifth inning and one so far in the sixth inning to knot the score at 3-3.
If Samford (21-27 overall, 10-4 SoCon) can win two of the three games from the Mocs, the Bulldogs would earn a share of the SoCon regular season title and the No. 1 seed in next week's SoCon Tournament.
