GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Samford men's tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision at UNCG Saturday afternoon at the UNCG Tennis Courts.
With the loss, Samford falls to 4-6 overall and 0-2 in Southern Conference play. UNCG improves to 4-4 overall and 1-2 in league matches.
Samford won the doubles match at No. 1, but UNCG took the matches on the No. 2 court and No. 3 court to earn the first point of the match.
In singles, Samford earned wins at No. 2, No. 5 and No. 6. UNCG, however, earned wins at No. 1, No. 3 and No. 4 to earn the 4-3 victory.
Samford will play at The Citadel Sunday. The match is set for a 10 a.m. (CT) start from Charleston, S.C.
