BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford football program has signed LSU transfer wide receiver Colby Brunet, the program announced Friday.
Brunet saw action in 19 games over the last two seasons on special teams for the Tigers. He played in nine games in 2018 and 10 contests for the 2019 National Championship squad.
Brunet earned SEC Academic Honor Roll distinction in 2018. He will be a senior this season for the Bulldogs in 2020.
Brunet played his high school football at Archbishop Rummel High School in Metarie, La. He was a key member of Rummel team that played in three state championship games. As a senior, he caught 32 passes for 400 yards and three touchdowns in helping Rummel to an appearance in the state title game.
