STARKVILLE, Miss. – The Samford women's tennis team fell at Mississippi State, 7-0, Sunday evening at the Rula Tennis Pavilion.
 
With the loss, Samford falls to 0-3 on the young season. Mississippi State improves to 5-0 with the win.
 
MSU won the doubles matches on the No. 2 and No. 3 courts to take the doubles point. The match on the No. 1 court was not finished. Mississippi State won each of the six singles matches to take the 7-0 win.
 
Samford will host UT Martin next Sunday, Feb. 7. The match is set for a 12 p.m. start from the Samford Tennis Center.
