BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The top-seeded Samford soccer team advanced to the semifinals of the Southern Conference Tournament with a 2-0 win over eighth-seeded Chattanooga Friday afternoon at Shauna Yelton Field.

With the win, Samford improves to 12-3-2. Chattanooga ends its season with a mark of 6-11-3.
KEY PLAYS
- Caroline Donovan put the Bulldogs on top with a goal on a header off of an assist from Taylor Yount in the 23rd minute of the contest, giving Samford a 1-0 lead.
- Audrey Kleiman scored on another header off an assist from Alyssa Frazier in the 33rd minute to push the Samford lead to 2-0.
- Neither team was able to net a goal in the second half and the Bulldogs held on for the 2-0 victory.

- Samford goalkeeper Morgan McAslan saved three shots in producing the shutout.
- Chattanooga's Abbey Saddler had five saves, allowing the two goals.
