Women’s Cross-Country Wraps Up Season At NCAA South Regional

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Samford women's cross-country team wrapped up its 2021 season at the NCAA South Regional Friday morning at John Hunt Cross Country Running Park.

The Bulldogs finished 17^th out of 32 teams with 469 points. Ole Miss won the team competition with 69 points, followed by Florida State with 86 points and Alabama with 99. A total of 10 of the teams that finished ahead of Samford were from Power 5 conferences. The Bulldogs finished ahead of in-state teams UAB (24^th), Troy (28^th) and Jacksonville State (31^st).

Samford was led by Allison Nelson, finishing 69^th out of 225 runners with a time of 21:44.50 in the 6K race. Sinkenesh Parker came in 71^st with a time of 21:45.34. Harper McGowan came in 99^th, running the course in 22:16.73.
