BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford women's golf team finished fifth at the UAB Spring Invitational, played Monday and Tuesday at the Founders Course at Greystone Country Club (Par 72, 6,096 yards).
 
Due to inclement weather, the teams only played two of the three scheduled rounds. Samford finished with a two-round score of 619 (309-310). The host school, UAB, won the event with a final score of 601 (298-303).
 
Individually, Samford was led by freshman Bailey Dunstan. Dunstan tied for third out of 63 golfers with a two-round score of four-over-par 148 (75-73). Mary Kate Horton tied for 19^th at 156 (75-81).
 
Samford will next play in the Chattanooga Invitational, March 29 and 30.
