JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The Samford volleyball team earned its seventh-straight win with a 3-1 (21-25, 25-15, 25-20, 25-21) victory at ETSU Sunday afternoon at Brooks Gym.
 
With the win, Samford improves to 8-1, all in SoCon play. ETSU falls to 4-5, also all in league action.

• Lauren Deaton led Samford with 21 kills and 13 digs.
• Emily Naubert led the team in digs with 17.
• Kayla Keshock dished out a team-high 33 assists.
• ETSU was led by Jenna Forster with 12 kills and 15 digs.

• In the first set, Samford jumped out to an early 7-4 lead.
• ETSU fought back to take a 12-9 lead.
• The Bucs pushed their lead to six points at 19-13.
• ETSU took the first set, 25-21.
• In the second set, ETSU jumped out to a 5-1 lead.
• Samford fought back to take a 15-11 lead.
• The Bulldogs built their lead to 21-14, and eventually took the second set, 25-15.
• In the third set, Samford took an early 6-1 advantage.
• ETSU came back to take an 11-9 lead.
• With ETSU leading, 14-10, Samford went on an 11-4 run to take a 21-17 lead.
• Samford won the third set, 25-20.
• Samford took a 4-1 lead in the fourth set, but ETSU scored the next four points to take a 5-4 lead.
• With ETSU leading, 10-8, Samford went on a 7-2 run to take a 15-12 advantage.
• ETSU cut the lead to one twice, but could never draw even as Samford won the fourth set, 25-21, and the match, three sets to one.
