Women’s Golf Finishes Third At Terrier Intercollegiate

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Samford women's golf team finished third in the Terrier Intercollegiate, hosted by Wofford College Monday and Tuesday at Carolina Country Club (Par 72, 6,056 yards).

"We've come a long way from the last five weeks from where we started at UAB," Samford head coach Joe Davidson said. "As a whole, we did not play well today. You can't give up 13 shots on the back nine and expect to win. Hopefully, we can carry some of this momentum into Mercer next week."

As a team, Samford posted a three-round score of 913 (305-297-309). USC Upstate won the event with a final score of 908 (309-302-297).

Individually for Samford, Bailey Dunstan led the way, tying for 10^th in the 90-player field with a three-round total of 226 (76-77-73). Anika Richards (77-77-77) and Christian Williams (75-75-80) both tied for 20^th, with both scoring 231. Kelley Topiwala tied for 29^th at 232 (81-73-78), while Kate Joyner finished 32^nd with a final score of 233 (83-72-78).

Samford will next play in the Mercer Invitational, Oct. 31 to Nov. 1, in Macon, Ga.
