BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Samford men's tennis team fell at home to cross-town rival UAB, 6-1, Thursday afternoon at the Samford Tennis Center.
 
With the loss, Samford falls to 3-12. UAB improves to 7-11 with the win.
 
In doubles, Samford won the No. 1 court, with Mohammed Ali Bellalouna and Jim Hendrikx defeating Michal Lusovsky and Vojtech Podzemny, 6-3. UAB, however, won on the No. 2 and No. 3 courts to take the doubles point.
 
On the singles side, J.B. Pickard earned the win on the No. 4 court, defeating Nikola Puric, 6-1, 6-2. UAB won on the other five courts to take the 6-1 win.
 
Samford will host Wofford on Sunday, April 3. The match is set for a 1 p.m. start from the Samford Tennis Center.
